Training

Courses and Workshops

Training courses are a great way to learn more about restoration and to network with other professionals. We often include a site visit to apply the information taught throughout the day.

River Restoration Centre (RRC) workshops are targeted around key issues and topics that need the concerted efforts of the restoration community to address.

Members Site Visits

We also provide the opportunity for members (and non-members where places are available) to visit and discuss restoration sites. These half days are a fantastic way to learn more about specific projects. The visits are normally led by someone who was heavily involved in the project. It's a great opportunity to ask questions and discuss issues that are relevant to you and your rivers.

Presentations

At the RRC we have a wealth of knowledge and experience that others need to access. We are happy to share this knowledge by presenting at events and conferences.

Community Engagement

Supported by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, we provide free or low cost advice and training to local and community groups, involved in the delivery of river and catchment restoration in the UK. This includes WFD catchment partnerships in England, other local partnerships and charities.  We collaborate with other organisations involved in similar work.
