Bridge abutment and adjacent slope being scoured by rainwater/snow melt required additional stabilisation. Provided on-site assessment of the problems to be solved. Supported this with specialist element design for the retaining structure and guidance for consultants and contractor. Project featured in recent CIRIA advice guide.
A failed Gabion wall was leading to slippage of slope supporting domestic gardens. Reprofiling of watercourse bend to original course. Design supplied for two Geoweb vegetated retaining structures. On-site installation training for contractors. Post completion review with consultant.
Scour beneath a road bridge required remediation with a vegetated structure. Several iterations of design supplied over a five-year period, with ongoing support for consultants as water flow parameters changed. Advised on mitigation of damage caused by short term solution implemented by local authority.
