There are many excellent restoration projects across the UK. Visiting ‘demonstration sites’ is a great way of getting into the detail with those that have done the hard work. In addition to our RRC Members Site Visits, we are working in partnership with projects to set up a wider network of river restoration demonstration field visit sites.

This webpage shows projects that are already interested in hosting visits. We are working with project hosts so that each project will have a page of information about the site, what works occurred, and what a visit might entail.

If you are interested in visiting a site which does not currently have a date confirmed, please email us rrc@therrc.co.uk and we can put you touch with the site contact. For a visit to be successful and work for the projects teams, we will need to set sensible minimum numbers, so please let us know which you would be interested in attending so we can record demand, liaise with the project team to see when they are available and set a date. Most of these visit dates will then be advertised by RRC on this page, but some might be organised direct between the project host and the interested parties.
