South Cumbria Flood Defence Scheme – Environment Agency (Completed Date: Sep 2018)

Technical lead - coordinating and undertaking all surveys for Great Crested Newt, Otter, Badger and River Corridor Survey to inform an EIA and mitigation for flood defence works along 13km of  River Kent system - a dynamic and sensitive SSSI, SAC site. Also provided research, consultation, reporting and production of 25 RCS maps.

HS2 – High Speed Rail Phase 2 (Completed Date: Ongoing)

Senior ecologist for the scheme since 2017 - leading on intensive surveys for riparian habitat, Otter, Water Vole, Great Crested New, Hedgerow Regs and assisting Barn Owl and bat emergence/re-entry surveys to inform the scheme’s Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).

Dogger Bank Creyke Beck windfarm (Completed Date: Jan 2014)

Survey lead for the onshore infrastructure – leading ecological surveys along a 35km cable corridor to inform the project EIA, including Otter, Water Vole, riparian habitat, Great Crested Newt surveys.

Georgina has over 10 years professional experience within ecology and conservation. She has a wealth of experience undertaking ecological and protected species surveys. Working within both consultancy and research, Georgina has worked on a variety of projects including large infrastructure projects and nationally important nature reserves. Areas of expertise include marine and terrestrial habitats and species., with particular interest in the riparian environment Georgina is proficient in herpetological, riparian mammal, cetacean, seabird and botanical surveys.
