Projects:
Restored a degraded river reach and adjacent land to improve hydrological connectivity, floodplain function, and biodiversity. Responsibilities included scheme feasibility, detailed design input, consenting and stakeholder liaison, alongside on-site technical supervision of wetland creation, channel shaping, and installation of flow control features to enhance ecological function and natural flood management outcomes.
Restored a 150 m winterbourne section that was over-wide, shaded, and lacking diversity. Responsibilities encompassed design review, consents, stakeholder engagement, and on-site technical supervision. Works included selective vegetation management, channel narrowing, in-stream habitat feature installation, bank reprofiling, and marginal planting to reinstate geomorphic function and enhance ecological resilience.
Rehabilitated the Hamble Brooke winterbourne and floodplain to enhance habitat diversity and reconnect natural floodplain processes. Responsibilities encompassed full project oversight from feasibility to delivery, including stakeholder engagement, consents, and on-site supervision of channel reprofiling, wetland excavation, turf handling, and vegetation establishment, ensuring environmental compliance and successful restoration of natural river function.
