Projects:
Delivered approximately 1,100 m of chalk stream and carrier channel restoration within a sensitive SSSI landscape. On site construction involved removing redundant structures, precision channel reprofiling and enhancement, bank reshaping, feature installation and sediment management, coordinated with environmental safeguards to reinstate natural river processes and improve habitat quality.
Following construction of a new and improved agricultural access bridge, we returned to site to restore a 150 m section of winterbourne that had become over-wide, heavily shaded and lacking habitat diversity. Works included selective vegetation management to increase light penetration, channel narrowing, in-stream habitat feature installation, bank reprofiling and marginal planting.
Worked to enhance European eel habitat by restoring historical fish stews and re-profiling existing channels on Broadlands Estate. On site responsibilities included managing variable ground levels, reinstating aquatic connectivity, installing habitat features, and collaborating with partners to deliver ecological and hydrological improvements across a complex site.
