We are delighted to see the River Mease restoration project featured in The Guardian following its success in winning the 2026 UK River Prize, awarded by the River Restoration Centre (RRC). 

The national coverage highlights the incredible collaborative effort led by the Trent Rivers Trust to restore the river over the past 13 years, transforming habitats, improving water quality and creating thriving wetlands for wildlife.

The River Tweed has been announced as an International River Prize Finalist, just two years after winning the UK River Prize in 2015. Congratulations to all those involved in improving the Tweed Catchment! The other finalists are:

Nushagak and Kvichak Rivers (Alaska, USA) San Antonio River (Texas, USA) Pasig River (Philippines)

The finalists for the 2016 IRF European Riverprize have been announced. The three selected finalists are:

Aragon River, Spain Segura River, Spain River Trent, UK

The winner will be announced at the European Riversymposium and Riverprize event on 2nd - 4th March 2016 in Vienna, Austria. You can find out more information about the finalists and the European Riverprize here.
