About the Opportunity

We are looking for Senior Environmental Scientist with experience of delivery of water and catchment science projects to join us in the south of England.  The successful candidate will be part of our Water Science and Hydromorphology discipline which sits within the Water Catchment Management team. 

You will be based in one of our three southern offices at Bristol, Exeter or Reading (Winnersh) and will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects.  The team is currently active in river rehabilitation and habitat creation, Biodiversity Net Gain, geomorphological appraisal, Water Framework Directive assessments, nature-based solutions and catchment management.

Here’s What You’ll Need

  • Undergraduate degree (2:1 or above) in Geography, Environmental Science, Ecology or a related field  
  • Chartered or approaching chartership with CIWEM, CIEEM or similar
  • Experience of delivering projects in areas such as river restoration, habitat creation, nature-based solutions, Environmental Impact Assessment and geomorphology.
  • Experience of liaising with clients and stakeholders
  • Rounded knowledge of relevant legislation, planning policy and best practice guidance relating to the water environment.
  • An inclusive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team.
  • Excellent communication skills
