Location:
The Royal Oak, Mayfield, Ashbourne, DE6 2BN

Norbury Fishing Club and Birdsgrove Fly Fishing Club in conjunction with the Riverfly Partnership, the Trent Rivers Trust, the Environment Agency and the Dove Catchment Partnership are continuing to build a comprehensive network of citizen based monitoring across the breadth of the River Dove catchment to protect this most important of rivers and instil a greater understanding of its ecology amongst those who live, work, and enjoy the rivers and streams within its boundaries.

This one day event will introduce delegates to the sampling and identification of the key freshwater invertebrate groups used by the Riverfly methodology. The workshop will also include a separate refresher course for those wanting to refresh their skills. In order to cover the costs involved with this event, there will be a small charge of £5 per person attending, which will be collected on the day.

Places are available on a first come first served basis and are limited. To book your place please contact Rosie at the Trent Rivers Trust rosie@trentriverstrust.org with your name and contact details and specify whether you are interested in the refresher or basic training.

The event will run from 09:00 till 16:30 with lunch provided (Please let us know of any special dietary requirements). Also waders or wellington boots will be needed for the invertebrate sampling. If you require any further information please don't hesitate to contact Rosie.
