The Climate is changing. Does nature conservation need to adapt to meet this challenge? Join us for a fascinating evening debating the role rewilding could play in ensuring a green recovery and in addressing the climate emergency and biodiversity crisis. Our guests for the evening are Dr Jo Smith, CEO of Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, Professor Paul Lynch, Chair of the University Professorial Council at the University of Derby and Professor Alastair Driver, Director at Rewilding Britain.

The event will start with a brief introduction to rewilding, and explore some of the current rewilding projects in the region and across the UK. Our guests will then discuss and debate the opportunities for rewilding in the Peak District. The event will also explore how rewilding at a local and regional scale can support economic regeneration, improve community wellbeing and also restore our damaged eco-systems to reverse the ongoing decline in biodiversity. Join us to find out more, join the debate and discover how to get involved.
