First International Conference on Riparian Ecosystems Science and Management

The first international conference on Riparian Ecosystems Science and Management will be held from 6^th to 8^th April 2022 in Bratislava (Slovakia). At the Conference we invite academia and civil society to discuss and share knowledge to understand how riparian ecosystems are studied and managed across the world.

Invited speakers :

• Dr. Hervé PIÉGAY. Research Director at the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS, Lyon, France). His research interests include riparian – channel and floodplain interactions, vegetation dynamics associated with contemporary channel changes, remote sensing of fluvial corridors, dynamics of large wood.
• Dr. Eduardo González. Research Scientist II, Department of Biology (Colorado State University, USA)

• socioecological functioning (riparian ecology, species interactions, biogeomorphology, biogeochemistry, ecosystem services, riparian uses and perceptions, etc.)
• changes and future trends under multiple disturbances (human-induced pressures, climate change, diseases, etc.)
• methods and tools (monitoring/assessment, indicators, remote sensing, field survey, modeling tools, phytoecological approaches, etc.)
