We are excited to invite you to attend and participate in our 2021 Scottish online conference being held over two half days on Tuesday 5th and Thursday 7th October.

The 2021 Scottish conference will focus on how we can meet the challenge of greening our urban environments.

We will hear from a range of excellent speakers about innovative approaches to using nature-based solutions and blue-green infrastructure in our urban environments and how they can deliver multiple benefits in terms of biodiversity conservation, air quality improvements, climate change adaptation and protection against flooding. We will also be exploring some practical implications of implementing blue-green infrastructure and showcase good practice.

A review of the provision and delivery of biodiversity measures in housing developments will highlight where we are at, and future opportunities. We will also discuss opportunities surrounding vacant and derelict land, higher level policy issues, and the importance of multi-disciplinary approaches and partnerships.

Attendees will gain an increased understanding of the multiple benefits and opportunities for incorporating blue-green infrastructure and nature-based solutions in the planning process and evidence of approaches, innovation, and excellence that they can incorporate into future work.
