Conference 2021 FAQs

Do I need to book my place?

Everyone that wants to attend the conference must complete a booking form.

All discount codes must be applied at the point of booking and cannot be deducted later as we are using the Accelevents booking platform, that will require you to make payment on completion. To book your place at the conference go to the link here.

Do presenters have to book onto the conference?

Yes, all presenters must complete a booking form and pay to attend the conference.

How do I get members’ rate tickets?

You will need an access code to unlock members rate tickets. Most members will have received their codes. If you think you should have one but haven’t received it, please contact us.

Am I a member of RRC?

You can click to check our website to see if you are a current organisational member.

Are Environment Agency staff members of RRC?

Only Environment Agency ‘Environment & Business’ staff are eligible for members’ rate tickets.

How do I get my 2020 conference discount?

If we offered you a discount from last year's conference, you should have received your single use discount code. If you cannot find it, contact us before booking.

What if I want to give my 2020 discount to someone else?

You can give your 2020 discount to someone else if you let us know their name.

What happens if I am a sponsor?

Platinum Sponsor Package and UK River Prize Partner complimentary places will receive a code to apply at the checkout.

How much will I save on Early-bird booking?

An example of Early-bird booking savings is approximately 20% on the full 2-day rate for attending this year’s conference. All tickets will be reduced until 8th September 2021, when they will become full price.

Is there any accommodation included in the booking?

No accommodation is included in any of these rates. If you require accommodation for the conference please contact rrc@therrc.co.uk

Can I book on behalf of someone else?

Yes, but please make sure the ticket holder contact details are correct so that the attendee will receive their ticket.

Can I make a group booking?

Please contact RRC if you would like to make a group booking.

Can I pay by purchase order?

Payment this year should be made at the end of the booking process by card. Please contact us if you cannot pay by card.

Will there be discretionary discounts?

Thanks to our sponsors, we are able to provide discounted places for small trusts, community groups, volunteers and students who otherwise may not be able to attend.

The discounts are given out on a first come first served basis. If you would like to apply, please fill in a Discount Request Form and wait to hear from us before booking.

Can I park at the venue?

There is a limited amount of parking available at the venue, you will need to give your registration details at hotel reception.

Covid-19 FAQs

What if the Covid-19 guidance changes?

We will be constantly reviewing government guidelines. We are working with the venue to run an ‘in-person’ and online event to make the conference accessible to as many people as possible. We will all need to comply with rules and restrictions as they apply to the conference dates.

We will work with the hotel and follow any additional restrictions that they put in place.

We also reserve the right to make further reasonable restrictions and make these mandatory for the duration of the event. 

What if I don’t agree with the new restrictions?

As any of the above restrictions will be ‘reasonable’ such changes will not be deemed to be a change of booking contract, and the booking conditions relating to changes and cancellations will still apply.

What are the Covid-19 Government Guidelines for travelling from abroad?

If you are planning to travel from abroad to attend the conference in person, please check the UK government website as well as your own government’s rules around self-isolation and travel before you book. Our cancellation policy will apply once you have made your booking.

How do I provide evidence of my negative lateral flow test?

RRC will request to see the text message sent to you via the NHS App, once you have registered your negative lateral flow test with them. Instructions of how to do this is available in the test kits.

What time does the Awards Dinner start?

The 2021 UK River Prize Awards Dinner & River Champions Celebration will be held on 21st October 2021 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic Hotel. Please arrive around 19:00 for a 19:30 start.
