COVID-19 update: here's what you need to know

We can’t tell you how good it is to be back. But we do have to tell you that ‘back’ is going to be a bit different this year to keep everyone safe. We will be constantly reviewing the national guidelines on COVID-19 and will have additional requirements in place to make the event as safe as possible for all those attending in person. You will need to keep reviewing this webpage which we will be updating.

COVID-19 – ENTRY Lateral Flow Test

For entry, you will need to demonstrate your COVID-19 status by providing proof of a negative NHS Rapid Lateral Flow Test (test to be taken within 24 hours prior to attending the event at the venue).

RRC will request to see the text message sent to you via the NHS App, once you have registered your negative lateral flow test with them. Instructions of how to do this is available in the test kits.

Please be ready to show this when you arrive. We have the right to refuse entry if you are unable to do so.

NHS Rapid Lateral Flow tests are free. You can order NHS Rapid Lateral Flow Tests here or pick them up from any pharmacy or test site

Please do not bring the home test strip with you.

Government guidance for households with possible or confirmed coronavirus infection

Guidance on self isolating

Follow these instructions for what you need to do:

You must report your COVID-19 NHS Rapid Lateral Flow Test result online, by clicking on this link - COVID-19 NHS Rapid Lateral Flow Test result

If you do not have access to the internet, you can also report your test result by calling the phone number in your test kit’s instructions, NHS 119 (England, Wales and Northern Ireland) or Scotland 0300 303 2713.

You will need to demonstrate your negative NHS Lateral Flow Test result by showing us one of the following:

FACE COVERING

Please wear a face covering while seated in sessions and moving about in the venue (unless exempt). Whilst it is no longer a mandatory government requirement, we are currently asking you to follow this recommendation and advice about personal responsibility and out of respect for other people’s concerns.

RRC staff will be wearing masks.

TRAVEL LIGHT

There will be a cloakroom at the venue for you to leave your belongings. Please keep belongings you bring to the conference to a minimum.

Hotel policy

Hotel risk assessment can be seen here.

Registration

We are trying to arrange for the conference entrance to the venue to be separate to the general hotel entrance to keep mixing to a minimum. We will update this when we can.

Your support and understanding will go a long way if things take a little longer than you are used to, so your patience is appreciated.

Other guests at the hotel

There will be other guests at the venue that are not attending the conference. We will offer routes between the main rooms that use the external doors.

Site visits

The coaches will have sanitiser on board, and we ask you to use it on entry.

All seats will be front facing but will not be socially distanced, so please wear a face covering while on the coaches too.

HAVE YOUR TICKET READY

Please have your emailed ticket confirmation ready when you arrive to reduce waiting time, this can either be digitally on a hand held device or printed.

Enjoy the conference!
