|Each year the River Restoration Centre (RRC) holds an Annual Network Conference that brings together professionals from all areas of river restoration including contractors, engineers, consultants, academics, and representatives from trusts, local organisations, and government agencies. The event is run over two days and includes over 50 speakers, workshop sessions and many other opportunities to network and make new contacts. Speakers present interesting, engaging presentations on recent projects, current topics of interest, or their research.|
|RRC Scientific Conference - Scientific Advances in River Restoration (SARR)|
The SARR conference will take place at the University of Liverpool between 6th & 8th September 2023. SARR will unite scientists globally within one meeting covering all disciplines of river restoration. Scientists can present their work, discuss ideas, create new collaborations and advance challenges in river restoration science.

|Amid economic and political uncertainty, the 2023 RRC Conference focused on the positive steps that can be taken to build capacity across the sector and expand the work being delivered. The conference combined the views of 400 delegates to create a declaration of actions required to restore healthy rivers and functioning floodplains in the UK.|
|UK River Prize & Nigel Holmes Trophy|
|Each year the RRC Annual Network Conference hosts the UK River Prize Awards Dinner celebrating best practice in river restoration, where the Nigel Holmes Trophy is awarded to the winner. The finalists and winner of the 2022 prize have been announced and more information can be found here.|
|Over the years our conferenes have been a huge success. Previous venues include Nottingham, Sheffield, Manchester, York, Blackpool and Brighton.
