The certificate is made up of 4 of our existing courses and a one-day field course.

Previously completed courses

If you have previously completed one or several of the training courses listed above you do not need to take the individual course again, but you do need to complete the end of course assessment. To take the assessment you will have access to the course material.


Certification route
The certificate can be undertaken in two ways: 
Fast track
You will register and take the courses on the online learning platform sequentially. The learning platform is a training website with interactive videos, quizzes and instruction documents. It is self-paced and you can access the materials at a time best suitable to you. Study time needed is 8 hours over 4 weeks. You will:
  • Take 4 courses sequentially from September to February
  • Undertake fieldwork in March
  • Only pay 1 up-front fee
 
Stacked learning
In this option, you sign up to our advertised training program courses, take them when it suits you, choosing which delivery methods to use (Online Learning Platform, 1 day Zoom or in-person), and you pay for each course individually. You will need to register for the certificate to undertake the assessment for any previous courses taken and to track your progress. There is a registration fee at the start of the certificate and a certification fee at the end of the certificate.

Fast track
  • A single up-front fee (RRC member rate: £906; or Non-member rate: £1177.80 incl VAT.)
  • A deduction of £150 is applied for each course that has been previously completed.

(A saving of 10% on the total cost of individual courses).

 
Stacked learning
  • A registration fee of £36
  • The cost of the 4 individual training courses and 1 fieldwork day
    • RRC member rate £165; Non-member rate £222 per online course*
    • RRC member rate £228; Non-member rate £297 per in-person course/field day*
  • A certification fee (on completion) of £84

*Course fees may increase in future years

 
Discounted rates for small trusts, associations, volunteers and students
We are currently able to offer discounts on the fast track certification to small trusts, associations, volunteers and students. Please contact us rrc@therrc.co.uk for more information.
 

Assessment & Award

The certificate will be assessed by multiple choice questions at the end of each course. Upon successful completion of the courses and fieldwork the Certificate will be awarded.

(This course cannot be used as credits towards an academic award)
