Yorkshire Water is looking for an Ecological Data Officer to join its Environment Team and play a key role in managing, assuring and applying ecological and hydro-ecological data to support environmental improvement across Yorkshire.

The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary environmental team, helping to deliver key regulatory programmes, including WINEP and the Biodiversity Performance Commitment. The role will focus on ensuring high-quality ecological data underpins decision-making, biodiversity outcomes and sustainable water management.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing ecological data across the Environment Team, ensuring datasets are accurate, consistent and accessibleLeading quality assurance of ecological data from suppliersSupporting delivery of biodiversity and regulatory commitmentsProcessing and interpreting complex hydro-ecological datasetsDeveloping and maintaining ecological data systems and processesCollaborating with Rivers Trusts, Wildlife Trusts and other environmental partnersSupporting the management of ecological data within ESRI GIS systemsProducing reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI and ESRI

The successful candidate will have:

A degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, GIS or a related disciplineExperience managing ecological or environmental data, including spatial datasetsStrong knowledge of GIS platforms (such as ESRI) and data management principlesUnderstanding of habitat classification, protected species data and ecological survey standardsExperience working with complex environmental datasetsExcellent organisational and communication skillsA full UK driving licence

Thames21 is looking for a River Restoration Officer to join its Improving Rivers team and help deliver ambitious river and wetland restoration projects across London.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong interest in river and wetland ecology to contribute to the planning, development and delivery of nature-based solutions that improve river health and benefit local communities. The successful candidate will work alongside colleagues, contractors, volunteers and a wide range of stakeholders to deliver practical restoration projects across London’s river catchments.

The successful candidate will have:

A strong interest in river restoration and wetland ecologyKnowledge of river restoration techniques, design and permitting processesExperience working with a range of stakeholders and communitiesExcellent organisational and communication skillsThe ability to work outdoors in a range of weather conditionsAn understanding of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM 2015) is desirable

Eden Rivers Trust is looking for two Agricultural Project Officers to work with farmers, landowners and rural communities to deliver practical, farmer-led projects that benefit both agriculture and the environment.

These exciting roles will focus on improving water quality, restoring freshwater habitats, supporting biodiversity and building resilience to flooding and climate change across targeted catchments.

Aire Rivers Trust is recruiting for two Project Manager positions. Through a single application process, candidates can be considered for either or both roles.

Project Manager (Development)

This role focuses on developing new project opportunities, securing funding, building partnerships and managing a team of Project Officers. The successful candidate will help shape and grow the Trust's programme of work by developing high-quality environmental projects.

Project Manager (Technical)

This role focuses on the delivery of river enhancement projects, including fish passage improvements, barrier removal and natural flood management schemes. The successful candidate will oversee project delivery, contractors, permissions and regulatory processes.
