| Provided by a range of organisations and partnerships including the RRC
A key element of the River Restoration Centre's work is to act as an advisory body, providing information on good practice and innovative river restoration techniques. Below are examples of Demonstration Projects in the UK which showcase good practice in river restoration and provide an opportunity to learn more about, or visit a completed restoration project. This can be beneficial to gain insight and understanding of the techniques used, approaches taken, and the construction and post project phases. These sites can be used to enthuse others and demonstrate ideas and concepts. Sites often have staff who can talk about their experiences; a resource of information attached to them; or may offer further project related opportunities (e.g. monitoring work; survey and analysis). The RRC can provide details of the main contacts for all these projects and holds more detailed information on many of them. We can also offer/help organise guided site visits to some of the restoration sites. If you would like further information on any of the projects or you are interested in attending a guided site visit please contact the Centre. | |||
