RRC Conferences
A River Restoration Network Conference (normally two days of presentations and a site visit on the third) is held in April of each year to further RRC's commitment to broadening the river restoration network and to provide a forum for river restoration practitioners to share their experiences. Fourteen Annual Network Conferences have been held to date. For the programme of events for each year please click below.

2013 - Whittlebury Hall Hotel, Northamptonshire

RRC Conference 2013, Whittlebury Hall

The RRC would like to thank everyone who attended this year's conference at Whittlebury Hall. With more than 300 delegates, it was the best attended RRC conference to date. Outputs from the conference will be available in due course. While we prepare these, if there is anything you would like to request in the meantime, please refer to the programme and contact the Centre (rrc@therrc.co.uk) and we will see how we can help.

2012 - University of Nottingham

RRC Conference 2012

The conference, held on the 19th and 20th of April in association with the EU LIFE+ RESTORE project, focused on the "nuts and bolts" of restoration and enhancement, and managing partnerships and projects. Bart Fokkens, Chairman of the European Centre for River Restoration, was the keynote.

On the second day, workshop sessions supported the launch of RRC's practical monitoring guidance document monitoring guidance and RESTORE knowledge management wiki tool to share best practice EU river restoration. Speakers from across Europe included Philip Weller, Executive Secretary of the International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River.
