RRC Courses and Workshops

The River Restoration Centre (RRC) has a long history of facilitating and hosting a range of different training courses and thematic workshops for restoration practitioners, river basin planners, policy makers and interested groups. These are aimed at increasing the skills of attendees and their value lies in the opportunity to learn not only from the experienced facilitators but also from interacting with others from different backgrounds in a learning-focused environment.

The training courses follow the format of a one day event with presentations and interactive sessions where participants will be expected to work through technical examples and, where feasible, a site visit to consolidate learning. The training courses are open to anyone who has an interest in the topics including: NGOs, trusts, statutory agency project managers, consultants, contractors, and early-stage researchers interested in linking science to practitioners’ needs. Training courses are developed to meet current needs and also take into account the backgrounds of the participants.

The RRC also supports and helps to facilitate external workshops run by other organisations. From promoting to presenting and organising we can help make workshops a success.

As well as stand-alone workshops we also hold a range of workshop sessions at our Annual Network Conference. You can find out more about these workshops at our previous conferences, on our Conference Page.

If you would like us to help with your workshop, please contact us.
