What do urban rivers mean in the 21st century?

This workshop brings together practitioners and academics from different sectors to examine rivers and their cultural meanings. We will call on findings from the Reflecting on the River research network which has been exploring the Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad, one of India’s rapidly urbanising cities. We will reflect on future research directions around rapid urbanization and cultural heritage to expand the international Reflecting on the Riverresearch network.
