Surface Water Management 2017

Date:
Wednesday, September 20, 2017 - 09:00 to 17:00
Location:
Central London

This conference will provide an up to date picture on the context, scale and impact of surface water flooding, advances in modelling and the key barriers to delivering SuDS with innovative case studies and collaborations. Following on from the National Flood Resilience Review, this event will examine the best opportunities and next steps to be taken by government, developers, critical infrastructure providers and a wide range of other stakeholders for surface water management.

The conference aims to examine:

  • The paradigm shift needed to address the scale of the threat that surface water flooding poses
  • Partnership working by key stakeholders to develop a tool kit of measures from Property Level Protection to SuDS and urban design
  • How we can recognise and measure the multiple benefits from implementing effective flood projects
