This two-day course is for anyone who requires an introduction to fluvial hydrology and hydraulics in relation to managing floods. The course materials and exercises use real-life examples to assist participants' understanding of concepts and principles. The course is designed for those new to the subjects or those who require a refresher. It is suitable for Local Authority, Environment Agency, Scottish Environment Protection Agency and Natural Resources water staff and consultants as well as those involved in catchment and fisheries.
