Dredging Management Course with HR Wallingford

This course provides an introduction to the subject of dredging and will assist those who are responsible for commissioning and managing dredging contractors and those who regulate dredging. Our expert tutors will provide an overview of the environmental aspects of dreding, the latest technology and equipment, and the management of dredged material.

Over the two days, delegates will explore multiple aspects of a dreding project. Course modules include:

  • An explanation of definitions and terminology
  • An introduction to the different types of dredging (e.g. capital, maintenance, aggregate, deep water)
  • Dredging plant description
  • The components of a dredging project (e.g. planning, licences, contracts, environmental aspects, understanding and managing works, potential disputes/claims and their avoidance).

Designed to provide an ideal balance of taught sessions and exercises, the course will help to put theory into practice, whilst giving the oppotunity for discussion with the course tutors and other attendees. For further details please see the website or email HR Wallingford.
