Course: Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)

Date:
Wednesday, April 1, 2015
Location:

Following the joint consultation from the Department for Communities and Local Government and the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs a different approach has been proposed in England which will see the implementation of SuDS becoming part of the planning process rather than the setting up of SuDS Approving Bodies (SABs). This course will provide an update in regard to these recent changes.

The course is led by practitioners from the University of Chester, Martin Wright Associates and Weetwood.  The course is accredited by CIWEM and the CPD Certification Service and is affordable at just £295* (No VAT)

Participants will learn about:

  • Introduction to SUDS & SUDS design
  • Challenges of Drainage Infrastructure
  • Key Principles of SUDS
  • The Role of SUDS in developing sustainable drainage infrastructure
  • Introduction to SUDS design
  • The Role of SUDS in flood risk management
  • Using Micro-drainage for SUDS  (1D/2D Flow)
