Date:
Wednesday, January 28, 2015 - 17:15
Location:
University of Bristol

The BHS SW and Welsh sections are holding a joint evening meeting on Water Resource Modelling and Planning.  This is the Welsh section’s first meeting so please join us if you can!  We would also love to hear from members living/working in or near Wales that would be able to help get a Welsh section up and running.  If you have any ideas for meetings, are willing to present or even just offer some moral support please let me or Kathryn Pimble know.  Kath is the Natural Resources Wales rep on the BHS main committee, Kathryn.Pimble@cyfoethnaturiolcymru.gov.uk

The meeting will focus on the future direction of water resource planning and drought planning guidance and how it can be achieved.  Speakers include:

  • Nigel Hepworth (Environment Agency) - “Putting more hydrology into water resource planning; better links between water resources and drought planning”
  •
  • Brett Korteling (CH2M HILL) - “Modelling water resource resilience at a regional scale”

The meeting will be held in Lecture room 1.15, Queen's Building, Bristol University, BS8 1TR.

There is no charge to attend this meeting and registration is not required.  Both BHS members and non-members are welcome.
